yes, well after I wrote I decided that I had forgotten about the 1.5 times option; however, I thought TOom pointed out the crux of the two times move the other day that UOP{IX went from $150 to $18...

I think that the 1.5 works pretty well if you buy at the botom and sell at the top [ie, fund rotation]- but I am trying to think of a way to rethink if scaling in (either my way or the AIM way) is the right approach without a short option

as I have said before, I dont like the short option because I am not that good a trader (John seems pretty good at it).

I think I will turn out ok on my UOPIX scales because I am really focused on bringing down my average cost - but doing that sacrifices my trading income, so things arent working out perfectly - which brings me back to why I am interested in your getting in and out strategy! <G>
