I thought the WSJ just let Al Hunt onto the editorial page as their token moderate.

I think the major news media are trying for a centrist opinion. They certainly don't rush to publish anything that would be offensive to the corporate media conglomerates that own them. (Trust me, if you are at all to the left, you don't like them either) It's just that in the major US coastal cities (Bos-Wash, SF-LA), the centrist opinion is currently a "New Democrat" opinion. And the major news media are located in the coastal cities.

Al Hunt is so unbalanced that he really discredits the Left. He and his wife, CNN's Judy Woodruff.
