Hi T, I arrived at the GNSS party a little early, but I've managed to average down with its falling price. Now, in Phoenix fashion it's starting to pay me back.

I'll be a lot happier once I've refunded my cash position to more normal (for me) levels.

Thanks for all your posts and hard work with GNSS. I also appreciate your efforts.

Best regards, Tom

San Jose,

3 of our postings including yours and mine, are at Silicon Investors' Gorillas & Kings hunt communities. It is a very good sign that GNSS discussions got noticed, since it is likely a heard of long term buy and hold type of gorilla Game investors as allies of GNSS. GG theory dictates timing of buy and sell depends on G or K status of GNSS and the exact stages of technology adoption life Cycle of GNSS is in.

As Trilobyte, the author of the Gorilla Hunt-GNSS, has not figured out, I have not yet figured out whether GNSS is Gorilla or King in the FPD controller chip jungle.

San Jose, Does GNSS have an effective monopoly situation like, MS, Intel, Rambus or Qualcom? Please discuss.

However, GNSS has been in the the FPD bowling alley stage for some time and has emerged as the Gorilla and the Defacto standard FPD controller segment. GNSS is dominating Dual, and Analog, among the leaders in Digital. SAGE, SIMG and PXLW has been niche market chimps.

San Jose, I am just about make a rather bold statements. please correct me if I am making wrong statements or observations in terms of technical accuracy. I know enough to get myself in trouble. But I am willing to share my thoughts and observation with you and the board for refining my GG investment anaysis on GNSS.

SAGE is in Analog multi-chip segment with low margin hi vol. for FPD. No dual solution. At the same time, it is struggling to establish themselves into DTV segment without establishing themselves in the beachhead segment-the FPD controller area. IN my observation, Faroudja is either a Systems integrator or a high end box maker for the esoteric TV land, without the component making experience. Good luck with extracting technology out of F. and integrating them into dual Chip in the DTV land.

SIMG, once the "heir apparent" to the Gorilla" in Controller jungle, has abdicated the crown to GNSS and has retrenched back to the Digital segment only with 1 meter DVI standard reliability(??). SIMG failed in implementation of DVI compliant spec. leadership to GNSS.

PXLW has been the high end, small vol., and high margin niche with multi-chip solutions and is scrambling to have dual interface chip by acqusition of Panstera.

GNSS, by leveraging the dual integrated mixed signal controller technologies and experiences, has been creating the "whole products" for the FPD adjacent bowling pins-Digi CRT monitor, DVD/DTV/Flat TV/Projection TV, and HDTV.

Once they hit a strike in each of the adjacent segments, with many design wins as the reference design wins, GNSS will hit the BBBBBig Time-the Tornado of Internet Appliance.

The reason, Trilobyte and I are interested in determining whether GNSS is KIng or Gorilla, the market Cap valuation of G will be much higher than King, for they controll the proprietary open architecture- for example, like Intel in the PC world, and Rambus in the DRAM. Intel could have granted SIMG the status of Gorilla with DVI ownership, but they got burned severely by RAMBUS.

Trilobyte, if you are monitoring out board, please offer your thoughts.

Meanwhile, San Jose, will you Please take a visit to the Chasm Group slide presentaion, as shown below? After you read the presentation, I would like to discuss the fine points of determining the Gorilla or Kings for GNSS.
