I know your comments about Mike Dell were tongue-in-cheek. I also know that you feel as I do,...... that he and many other high tech company CEOs, together with the whole darned pack of analysts who have lied through their teeth about conditions in the high tech sector, should be sent to jail.

Won't happen of course, but these guys are the real criminals. Tell the public that everything is fine, even as the whole house of cards is collapsing and even as each is selling his stock to an unsuspecting public. What an unmitigated farce it is that the SEC chases bright,teen-aged hackers who in their bedrooms or basements demonstrate their "smarts" (typically for the fun of it), even as they demonstrate just how weak the supposed "security" of the web is, while these criminals in expensive suits get away with outright fraud.

Over this past few years, you, Fred Hickey, myself, Bill Parrish, Gretchen Morgenson, Leo Hood, and several others, have tried to provide the public with the facts as to what is really going on, but of course, those "facts" were laughed at. Why? Because the Mike Dells and Ted Waites of this world were saying "All is well, so don't worry". Meantime, their lawyers threaten us with suits (and worse) and use every trick in the book to frighten us into silence.

Now of course, all hell is breaking loose and the mess can no longer be smoothed over, so its "a weakening economy" that has oh so suddenly created the problems. What a bunch of BS!

Sorry for the diatribe, but I've have more than a stomach full of these unprincipled, greedy, slobs getting away with a crime that is going to cost the next generation so much. I'm sick of them!

(There, I've vented and feel better. But I would still spend serious money to attend the criminal trial that many of these birds deserve, just to see them humbled and sweating).

Best, Earlie
