I am wrong all the time. Just usually not about things I discuss with you- because I know how you are. Now after all the things you've posted it is clear you did not leave foolish out because of politeness. SO- did you leave it out for some other reason? Seems that since you thought "foolish" was insulting and if you had remembered it, you would have left it in. And why the confusion of small for little? It's circumstantial, I grant you- but it hangs together well.
