Saturn, thanks for your very informative post. I guess I was just fuming at the trend of "Blame it on Bigtime Corp." that a lot of people are fond of. On the other hand, I knew that there were many sides to the story, and I think your post clarified California's situation a lot more.

Do you think deregulation of power will ever happen, or should ever happen? I've heard some other state governments holding back on their deregulation efforts after watching the mess California got itself into.

It would have been wiser to say, "Legislators cannot repeal the laws of supply and demand that make a free market system work."
