Fleck had a contract. Spending the time wasn't really what he wanted to do for ever. It means nothing other than the contract is over and he is moving on to things he really wants to do.

Sign of a top? I'd agree if Fleck had left in, say, February 2000, but the exuberance has certainly cooled, the recent bear market rally notwithstanding...
