InfoSpace and OpenTV Announce Broadband Infrastructure and Technology Integration and Development Partnership
LAS VEGAS, Jan 23, 2001 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- InfoSpace, Inc. (Nasdaq: INSP chart, msgs), a leading global provider of cross-platform merchant and consumer infrastructure services on wireless, broadband, and narrowband platforms, and OpenTV (Nasdaq: OPTV chart, msgs; Amex chart, msgs), the world's leading interactive television and media solutions company, today announced a strategic partnership to develop and integrate InfoSpace's broadband services and interactive TV (iTV) applications with the OpenTV Platform.

Through this partnership, OpenTV and InfoSpace will collaborate to provide and market InfoSpace's broadband services and iTV applications to current and potential OpenTV customers globally. InfoSpace will provide OpenTV with a customized suite of broadband services and iTV applications, including yellow and white pages, city guides, search, personalized TV ticker, as well as personal finance and games channels, all developed and integrated on the OpenTV Platform.
