NEW YORK, Jan 23 (Reuters) - U.S. stock futures came off lows in pre-opening trading on Tuesday and
data storage company EMC Corp. (NYSE:EMC - news) rose after posting fourth-quarter profits that beat
Wall Street forecasts.

March futures for the technology-laden Nasdaq 100 index were off 1 point at 2,682. Futures for the Standard
& Poor's 500-stock index were off 0.50 point to 1,358.

EMC was up at $80 from a close of $76-1/2. The company on Tuesday reported earnings of 25 cents a share
in the fourth quarter, 2 cents ahead of analysts' forecasts as computer networks continued to collect surging
amounts of information.
