L.H: The current squeeze on the High techs has risen due to a combination of 4 factors.

a: Excess capacity within the Industry compared to average global demand.

b: Slow down in I.T capital spending on a national and International scale.

c: Syndicated loans to promote vendor fiancing has dried up due to high percentage of previous defaults.

d: The I.T/high tech knowledge gap between nations is decreasing not increasing.

Using monetary policy to stimulate the high Tech is not going to solve the problem. The Industry needs to consolidate ; reduce debt/vendor financing and reduce growth expecatations. A long tem growth of 30% is not sustainable.
