Tommaso, most of the pipeline jobs I've read about in the past have gotten their pipe from Asian mills.

Pipelines are plain jane type pipe that almost any steel mill in the world can make. If you really like MVK, I'd suggest you buy them based on their premium tubulars - of which pipelines are not a part.

Sharp

P.S. Funny story about a subsea flowline for BP's Pompano subsea template. They bought the pipe from a mill in Kobe Japan, shipped it to Aberdeen Scotland to have a high cost thermal insulation applied to it, shipped it to the gulf coast for installation - and then a welder making a repair on a cracked weld accidentally set the insulation on fire thereby destroying the entire length - can't remember exactly but I think it was about 14,000 feet. Set the project back some as the Kobe earthquake intervened and they couldn't get more pipe out of that mill. Whoops is an understatement.
