Re: Advertising

Perhaps analogy of cars instead of boats might be simpler to understand? For example

- For processor clock speed. Two cars racing round a track one locked in third gear with a screaming engine getting lapped. "What use is revving high if you don't make use of that power. The AMD Athlon 1.2, easily outpaces even Intels highest revving processors."

- For branch prediction penalty. A group of drag racers and sports cars driving cross country. Drag racers spinning off the road at every corner. "Sometimes it is a bad idea to design a machine with only one purpose in mind. The AMD Athlon, designed to handle EVERYTHING your programs can throw at it."

- For SSE2. A salesman excitedly describing the features of a new car. "And when the roads all have this new metallic layer on them this new model will really smoke." Cut to customer "And when will that be". Salesman, (with salesman grin) "Real soon". Cut to customer driving car down freeway, being passed on all sides, kids "Are we nearly there yet dad?". Dad, with a sigh, "real soon guys, real soon" - "The AMD Athlon, why wait for the future when you can have it all now?"
