>>jealous of William<<

I wonder why that broke fool pokes his size 3 hat in here, I'm contacting clam-clam to initiate junta status chaired by Kis!

Yes i'm a little nuts shorting the railroads!

I've been busy lately - got engaged, bought a new house and adopted a rottweiler. Can't figure out which of the 3 i'm going to regret first :)

Cheers!

Glenn, I'm not jealous of William. I'm jealous about you.
You took your hit on Amzn and you're still here.
To me you have staying power...that's a great sign.

James,

You are still here too. We lost a good number of soldiers during that mania that were short. I looked back and see in the archives all the names of people that seemed to have lost their entire net worth. Some not only went broke shorting, others stopped shorting and went long at the top.

It is really sad. Granted, ones health and family relationships are more important than money. However, many people do need money and the loss of that money affect their family relationships causing increased divorces and apparently some suicides. I am fortunate not to know anyone that commited suicide. That would hurt too much.

I can't really say that our staying power was due to we were smart enough to play the game differently soon enough or we had adequate deep pockets to survive. I often post my dislike of Bezos. It is not just due to the pain he caused me but due to the pain he caused possibly millions others. He was a master at hype. You accuse Bill of hyping. I do not wish to discuss that but Bezos was a daily hype machine. He was weell aware of the mania. The short interest, etc. The ultimate in my mind was the press release that Amazon was going to have a press release the following day in new York that would change the face of e-commerce forever. That was the tools beeing added to the site. It is bad enough that Amazon has an ethical problem in handling their business in my opinion. What did Bezos think would happen to the shorts when he played the hype game? These shorts were real people and not necessarily wealthy people. One can run a business without hyping it. Stocks are not suppose to change 30 to 100 percent on a press release. Bezos makes me so angry I see red.
