I am a NTAP investor. I follow very closely what the competition is doing . In a market with this potential everyone is scrambling like hell. Watch very closely what is being said and what is happening in NAS. From what I have been able to gather EMC is doing a poor job outside of their SAN environment. Don't be fooled about their NAS growth because it has have to have a SAN environment to operate in. I have my money on NTAP but you need to do your DD. If you are curious go to the NTAP site and read all of the DOWN SOUTH messages and then form your own opinions.

....(read today about shaky accounting past also).

Rogue salespeople too. Immediately in the wake of the twin scandals, a similar buyout rumor involving Legato by EMC or Veritas arose, but nothing obviously came out of it. Legato's under new management now and TTM revenues are around $238M so there is some value there that might give EMC some time-to-market advantages in the mid-range Clariion particularly since it has been on a rapid-fire quarterly product development pace and since it's trying to develop a solution provider channel. More product for the partners. We'll see. Thus far, EMC Software has been successfully focused on establishing how the physical storage layer (inside the box and on the storage network) adds resiliency, redundancy and performance (load balancing betweeen redundant components) to various operating systems, databases, middleware (system management) and applications to protect, manage and share data.

Hi Toni, OTOTOT

Your words re. NTAP were prophetic, in that the stock would be quite vulnerable to severe corrections. This morning's price action confirmed what you said.

Thanks a lot for your insights. I almost bought the stock until I read your post.
