Dickey Betts Band to Tour with .38 Special and the Charlie Daniels Band The Dickey Betts Band has announced plans to tour in May and June with .38 Special and The Charlie Daniels Band. Betts’ line-up includes Mark May (guitar and vocals), David Stoltz (bass), Kris Jensen(saxophone and flute), Mark Greenberg (drums), Matt Zeiner (keyboards and vocals) and Junior Ortiz (percussion). The tour begins May 11 at Blockbuster Pavilion in Charlotte, NC and will conclude June 10 at the Meadows Music Theatre in Hartford, CT. The complete itinerary is available at allmanbrothersband.com. The Dickey Betts Band is currently in the studio working on its first album, due next month.

New Album Due From John Scofield, Tour to Follow John Scofield’s new album, titled Works For Me, will be released January 30 on Verve Records. The CD features Scofield (guitar), Kenny Garrett (sax), Brad Meldhau (piano), Christian McBride (bass) and Billy Higgins (drums). Scofield will tour in March with a different line-up, consisting of Bill Stewart (Drums), Jesse Murphy (Bass) and Seamus Blake (saxophone).
