I've got a good tip for you. If you're going to California, take your own electricity. Life in the shelter is not as bad as it once was. I began to volunteer once I heard of' the plight of Nite Man and WhoDooDoo. I was able to take food to the shelter, and help them avoid the harsh reality of the streets. I'm starting a program in the spring for the boys to teach them to fish. "Give a man a fish and you will feed him for a day. Teach him to fish, and he will sit in a boat all day drinking beer".
