I see no reason why JDSU will slow down their acquisition strategy. If AVNX's Powermux, Power Shaper, etc., are really best of breed, as Gilder and others claim, then I fully expect JDSU to make a bid for AVNX within a few weeks of closing the SDLI deal (i.e. soon). Remember, JDSU announced the SDLI deal within something like 10 days after closing ETEK, which was done right after OCLI, which was done right after the JDS/UNPH merger, etc., etc. AVNX probably won't be accretive to any potential suitor's earnings, but it is most definitely an acquisition candidate.
