swisstrader >>>Nice ploy to try to confuse the issue.

Rule 1. Only retarded vacant liberal minds support the policies and platforms of the democrats.

Rlue 2. Except for retarded vacant liberal minds only lying, raping, cheating scum support the policies and platforms of the democrats.

So if a poll supports democrat policies Smart folks of Character,
Compassion, Courage and Civility ignore the data.

When polls support the policies of the Republican Party of Character, Compassion, Courage and Civility then smart folk of Character, Compassion, Courage and Civility use them to illustrade the difference between NOW and the previous time of he who all the new firsts.

Clinton left office impeached.
Clinton left office fined
Clinton left office an admitted liar.
Clinton left office disbarred.
Clinton left office with any who have a wit of common sense and decency knowing him to be a rapist, your
generic run of the mill sex offender.

Well, if that were your only contention, there is nothing to argue about. You certainly seemed to be disputing something.......

>>my only statement was that Clinton had the highest ratings coming out of office since the FDR days...you debated that and sent the Gallup poll, which simply proved my original assertion

Wrong. According to Zogby - who everyone seems to agree is the most accurate - Reagan had higher job approval when he left office than Clinton - 63% for Reagan and 58% for Clinton. And people prefer Reagan over Clinton by a huge margin. Heck, he elected his Veep easily.

And there's another component - how people view Clinton as a man - and that's where Clinton's manifest untrustworthiness and mendacity exact an accurate toll. In that area Clinton ranks as the absolute worst President with the lowest marks in the history of polling.

Let's face it, Clinton was such a burden that for the first time in memory an "In" party lost office during peacetime in what was perceived to have been a booming economy. Now that is an accomplishment Clinton can take credit for.

Wrong. Gallup officially reports that Clinton's last days ended his dream of coming out office with high approval, much less higher than either Reagan or Eisenhower. That confirms what Zogby already reported.

The percentage of Americans holding a favorable view of Bill Clinton declined from 57% in early December to 51% today. With 48% currently holding an unfavorable opinion of Clinton, up from 41% in December, the public’s judgment about Clinton is now decidedly mixed. In addition to the pardons, there have been other controversies in the news that could account for the drop in positive public opinion about Bill Clinton -- there is the matter of the White House gifts taken by the Clintons for their personal use, as well as the high cost of Bill Clinton’s new office space in New York City.

And Clinton will continue to decline as his record becomes clear.

Despite Big Media's attempt to legitimatize Clinton's presidency, the people were on to him before he left office. Zogby had Reagan's job approval higher and personal approval more than triple Clinton's.
