El, I'd like to see CSFB upgrade Compaq on its merits when it upgraded Dell the day before it warned. Now Dell will get 18 cents, and have to lower its guidance for '01, and I'd like to see the Gardner's of the world rationalize that. This could be the beginning of the divergence, but rocky roads may still be ahead, since MD is so full of it. He can hide for only another quarter or two, and then the rubber will meet the road, just in time for the strong 2nd half. Also am interested in learning if the recent surge in Dell is not being manipulated to reduce their put exposure on their equity prior to the expiration of the quarter. Just my cynical self that does not believe in coincidences. He is probably buying calls on his stock as well.

In any event, it would be nice to see 2 or 3 upgrades tomorrow morning, from the big names. We'll see. Capellas did a great job tonight on CNBC. The interviewer, despite trying to get smart, could not handle the answers. Good Job MC!

Best,
