you don't get it; G* capability in a car doesn't require a G* handset at all

Voop, cars wouldn't need any handset [unless people want privacy - in which case a non-clunky handset could be wired in]. Globalstar can all be hidden in dashboards along with all the other electronics in modern cars. Even the aerial could be a short little thing compared with other aerials on cars.

Globalstar wouldn't be ready for cars for another couple of years anyway [to be built in to an acceptable degree]. By that time, the whole issue of financial stability will be a thing of the past with either the same, heavily diluted, shareholders or new ones.

If Globalstar LP folds, that wouldn't affect service to cars or the relationship with their service provider. Car operators wouldn't know anything about it unless they read the newspapers or took an interest for some reason.

Probably the first thing they'd notice would be a price cut.

Right now, Globalstar isn't ready for mass use in autos. But give it a couple of years.
