The Conference Call was an unmitigated Disaster IMO. I bought in the 50's sold at 73 and watched in envy as AVNX climb into the 80's. Now I don't regret taking less profit. Virtually flat sequential growth from Dec qtr to March qtr ( $48 million going to $52 million ) is the kiss of death ( short term ) to a high valuation stock. The CEO sounded DEPRESSED as did the ANALysts who were grasping for straws looking for a silver lining to essentially an uncertain/cloudy outlook in terms of near term visibility. All the techno-babble near the end of the call put me to sleep. Then the CEO ended the call abruptly ( is he an ex-KGB agent or what?)...There is no question that the company has proprietary technology/patents and is in a great long term growth sector BUT Wall St has zero patience for disappointment. I might buy AVNX back if it gets oversold again.Maybe the shorts can create a dead cat bounce (?)
