I mentioned that once to a poster on another thread, and he immediately began fulminating about how the low abortion rate might have nothing to do with education and contraception, how maybe the population was mainly rural and conservative, and the low abortion rate was really a product of good old family values, etc.

I don't think he was very familiar with the demographics of the country. He probably thought that the Dutch live mainly on tulip farms, lashing themselves to the bedframe and tightening their underwear whenever a sexual thought arises....

Good Morning X,

>>I've read a lot about their efforts with drugs and prostitution- but I did not know their abortion rate was low. Bravo for the Netherlands.<<

Bravo for their efforts with drugs? The jury may still be out...<g>

Here's something interesting to read about Holland's "efforts with drugs"...

Do you think there's a problem with designer drugs today, i.e., ecstasy and others?

Your thoughts?

TIA
