Sam Bush. I watched the Tony Rice Video Collection the other night. The 1st segment is The Tony Rice All Star Jam from the Merlefest in 1992. The lineup Tony Rice, Sam Bush, Mark O'Connor, Jerry Douglas, Bela Fleck and Mark Shatz was the same, except for Stuart Duncan replacing Mark O'Connor on violin, as the originally announced lineup for Bela Bluegrass Sessions, when Tony Rice had to bail Bryan Sutton took his place. In 1992 before the Flecktones Bela was an "allstar" but he was not anywhere near center stage, he was all the way off to the right and not even in most of the wide angle shots. 9 years later it's his show. I can't wait for the Imax film and DVD coming out of the Bluegrass Sessions.
