Eat your heart out. I had an 18" tall glow-in-the dark Mary AND a glow-in-the-dark rosary and every night I hid under the covers clutching those beads and begging God not to send a visitation to me like St Bernadette. Catholicism had a real talent for visual and graphic aids designed to terrify. Glow-in-the-dark spiritual sperm is a surefire winner. They will kick themselves for missing the opportunity.

I have always been repulsed by the idea that the Holy Spirit came upon her. Do you think it would glow? I didn't remember that line. I think they were lucky to get a conception out of that. A much better probability if the Spirit had come within, rather than upon. But I suppose the Spirit, being pure, wasn't aware of these niceties, and was quick on the trigger. Lucky for the Spirit's sake that none of it spilled on the ground. Big Daddy wouldn't approve of that.
