PSINet to provide connectivity for easyEverything JAN 24, 2001, M2 Communications - easyEverything has awarded a contract to the US-based Internet super carrier PSINet for the supply of connectivity to over 20 of its Internet cafes worldwide. Using its own private high-speed backbone, PSINet will run redundant circuits of up to 8Mb from its points of presence to easyEverything's sites. The whole 170Mb operation will be managed by a suite of network management tools, including Micromuse's Netcool and Hewlett-Packard Co's OpenView, from three management centres in London, Atlanta and Amsterdam. easyEverything estimates that the network will see more than 1Tb of data passing over it each week. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
