Network Appliance Expands Agile Anywhere Implementation To Help Manage Growth

San Jose, CA - January 23, 2001 -- Agile Software Corporation (NASDAQ: AGIL), a leading provider of collaborative manufacturing commerce solutions, today announced that Network Appliance, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTAP), the leading provider of network-attached data access and content delivery solutions, has significantly expanded its Agile user base. Network Appliance, one of Agile Software's first customers, has expanded its Agile Anywhere installation to manage its product content and product manufacturing processes internally and with key manufacturing partners such as Jabil Circuit, Inc.

"We needed to increase our Agile Anywhere users to further support our sales ramp and effectively collaborate with our supplier network," said Ernie Latham, Senior Director of Supply Management at Network Appliance. "Agile provides the solution to ensure that both Network Appliance and Jabil Circuit would always have accurate and timely product content information and could collaborate closely on proposed changes to the products."

Agile Anywhere is a complete suite of collaborative manufacturing commerce solutions that totally automates the distribution and synchronization of product content across the e-supply chain, with all information and services available through Agile eHubs™. At MyAgile.com™, Agile also provides the dispersed supply chain with mission-critical eServices such as online marketplaces, custom part procurement, wireless access, and components research.

"Because Agile automates product content changes, speeds approvals with electronic signature and simplifies document access, we were able to bring our products to market and into volume production much faster," said Scot Klimke, CIO of Network Appliance. "Now, by extending Agile Anywhere to everyone in our manufacturing enterprise, we can further improve our time-to-volume-without having to buy additional services or customization."

"Network Appliance understands the power of the Web-based manufacturing collaboration very well," said Bryan D. Stolle, chairman and CEO of Agile. "By expanding its Agile implementation, Network Appliance has laid the manufacturing technology foundation to support rapid growth into the future."
