AMES: Good move today. I will close above the Jan.H and test the Nov.9 down-gap with the help of the new financing from GE:

ROCKY HILL, Conn. Jan 24 (Reuters) - Discount retailing chain Ames Department Stores Inc. (NasdaqNM:AMES - news) said on Wednesday it signed a deal for $800 million of senior secured financing from General Electric Capital Corp., the finance unit of General Electric Corp. (NYSE:GE - news).

HLIT: It has been clobbered today after the earnings release and the company's statement that they still expect a loss in the first 6 months of 2001.

I guess if the price can get to the lower level of the "analyst estimate" for the next 12 months it would more than double from present level <g>
