more imminent driver for bandwidth, imo, is business eliminating middlemen within their corporations as well as between corporations and with their customers.

We're seeing a major shift in the efficiency possible for doing business through increased use of bandwidth.

It's barely started.

Hi tg - that is so true. I'd also add the increasing demand in storage to think the world requires more bandwidth and greater distance. Multimedia is here to stay. Not sure that current bandwidth can support one-on-one videophone. Unless people are anti technology, they cannot knock fiber w/o knocking down their own pet technology.

best, Bosco
