I am not going back to the old ways of valuation. But I am also not buying into the new ways of the greater fool theory (I have been there and it hurts like crazy. I am the one who bought QCOM at $180 and then kept averaging till I finally gave up i.e ran out of money).

Paying for a company whose earnings are such that it will take you 10 years to recover your capital is, in my books, a bad investment. Paying for a stock price of a co. hoping that someone else will pay a higher price is gambling all IMHO.
