I get my 384k DSL line from Verizon by Feb 5 for 32.50/month plus ISP charge. I made the decision when I needed the line for business purposes. By using a certificate issued by Entrust, I can access my clients files located in a state agency in the state capitol. I think business applications will drive the use of broadband access.
I discussed this with my son who sells digital cameras. They use a DSL to check credit cards.
