I think you are smarter than a lot of people for deciding not to get into the natural gas futures.

Kind of like trying to bet against an insurance company on life insurance: you get killed before you ever win. Well, not exactly. But it really does seem to be true that 95% of speculators in futures eventually lose money, and a lot of them lose a lot.

About taking delivery: did you ever hear the story about when Keynes was managing the endowment of King's College, Cambridge, and put them long into wheat? At one point he thought he was going to have to take delivery of an enormous amount of wheat and seriously considered whether it could be stored in King's College Chapel until a buyer could be found. At the last minute the market turned and he got out of it.
