Of course there will always be analysts with different opinions on a company. My point was, that when Andy was in charge the average opinion was one of respect toward INTC (even when times were tough) largely because of him. Currently, however, the average opinion of INTC is less than flattering.

Also, I never said INTC could "investor relation" itself out of the current state. But the concept of maximizing shareholder value is a combination of tangible business decisions and effective marketing of the company to the investment community. If this were not true than every company with similar earings and growth prospects would have similar valuations, but they don't.

If you don't believe in the power of marketing than why bother with a P4 ad campaign either? INTC could save a lot of money. Anyway, I am sorry you feel that effort in this area would be wasted. I have a different opinion that's all and I would be willing to do some things differently to see if a different paradigm might pay some dividends.
