Before oatmeal is dropped, I mean the subject,

I must say that I don't know what you guys see in this stuff. In a previous life when I went on a healthy vegetarian kick I cooked Irish oatmeal. Once. Last month at the vegan spa I visited they served it every morning so I gave it another try. The best I can say for the oatmeal was that they put rice and soy milk on the buffet for the oatmeal so I could pour myself a glass. Forget the oatmeal. Now maybe with marshmallows, as Poet suggested, but no spa would serve that.

I like rolled oats. Eat oatmeal all the time. Just a few minutes in the microwave. Make it with soy milk instead of water and add a few raisins and some cardamom or cinnamon. Yummy.
