Doc Paul, Welcome back!! I was off-line for most of October and November and when I came back you were gone. (Note: For those of you who don't know Doc Paul, he is a veritable fountain of information on SST.)

re: There's clearly a *LOT* going on in high density land.. from my perspective, my guess is that this is going to be a large part of their new product line in the next year.

The Agate Semiconductor purchase took place after the two investor conferences, so I haven't heard any color on the expected impact this year, other than what was in the original press release. Can't say I have done a patent search either. At the time of the two investor conferences, migration to the very highest density products appeared to be part of a long term plan that would not have much impact on the company in year 2001. That was the gist of my post to Aus, but I did amend that post with a new post that included the Agate Semiconductor announcement. I apologize for leaving Agate out of the original discussion!

I was willing to make a substantial investment in SST strictly on my belief that the company has what it takes to both dominate and be the lowest cost producer for low density code storage, but now it sounds like you are suggesting that the company is well positioned to have a significant impact in the highest densities as well. I certainly won't complain about this and will regard this as icing on the cake if the company is able to pull this off this strategic objective.

Please come by and give us an update as often as you can. I especially would be interested in getting a conference call summary from you following the upcoming earnings release if you have the time. Great to hear from you, Doc Paul!!

Best, Huey
