It's absolutely horrible. I cried over it. I have really been grappling with the issue of sex ed, and why masturbation is condemned and excluded. Just as e-bill expressed, I was under the impression that it is indeed taught. (ABOUT!!!) But I'm not finding it out there in the curricula. I have faxed for information from a national education program. I have requested the curriculum from my daughter's school, and also from the middle school she will attend. I know some people may find this difficult to believe but I even spoke at length with my friend, a catholic chaplain today about some of the issues we have discussed here. I'd be happy to share some of his answers if anyone wants to talk about it, or take questions to him. He is one of those most loving, non-judgemental, spiritual people I know. In an attempt to understand, I was reading Bible Answers at bible.com bible.com Someone asks: "Isn't it still better to masturbate than to commit fornication?" The easy answer to this question would be, "Yes, it is better to masturbate, because at best it corrupts only one person. It certainly is the lesser of two evils." It goes on, and on... Wouldn't the next logical question be, "Is it worse to commit murder and/or suicide than to masturbate or fornicate?" If youth is pushed toward self loathing, if suicide may result... I cannot grasp this Christian mind-set at all. I am trying to understand it so i can deal with it, I am trying to be fair here, to even see it for a moment, but I am unable...
