Dear Kenneth: I dont dispute any of this, I am just curious why during the Senate confirmation hearings on Ashcroft it came out that all the Police Chiefs in Missouri among others were out to have Ascroft defeat the nomination of White?? Also, White himself admitted under sworn testimony that Ascroft was NOT a racist--Sooo, whats the big deal here? Ascroft for whatever reason didnt want White on the Federal Bench, is that a reason for Ascroft to not be AG? I dont see where the two come together here. JDN
