I talked to the apple resaler yesterday about this and the independent film makers in the area are placing orders for these machines so it is not just the home movie buffs that are buying them. One of the mac sites also posted that cnn was going to downsize a good number of their crews, giving them a digital video recorder and the new macintosh portable to download and edit on mac imovie software. I know this is probably different than what lpac is doing but from what I am seeing, it may not be much of a leap into mastering some of the bigger projects. Neal
