Dan,

How about Intel's 64 bit strategy?

Intel 64 bit CPU strategy "leaves itself still much time"

Dan, The first approach turned out to be not good enough. They are going to try a better one. How about Intel's 64 bit strategy?

They have. It's called McKinley. AMD can't even field a simple 32 bit SMP solution around the X86 architecture that's been around for multo years. By the time they get around it, if they ever do, the server world will be moving over to Foster anyway.
