One possible explanation might be that they were planning on painting a rosy picture for 2001. Now that SNDK has spilled the beans they are rethinking their strategy to avoid looking stupid. Not meaning to imply the outlook is dreary. It may simply be that they now need to explain why their outlook is different than SNDK's. After comparing SSTI to SNDK I have come to the conclusion that I would rather own SSTI even if they come out with the same forecast for 2001.
