"I've been labeled a perma-bull many times"

Does this surprise you?

In response to a Q during BCE's Conf call, Jean Monty advised that about 7000 to 10,000 residential DSL customers are being added weekly.

I believe that residential growth has been and continues to be a small fraction of what's seen from the business customers.

I further believe that US growth is about 20 times that seen by BCE.

Also, I believe that we're in the first inning of a broadband rollout; and probably the top of the first.

If you read my "growth in processor speed" analogy yesterday, then you'd understand that my judgment and experience allows me to conclude that Bandwidth has been a bottleneck for decades. That bottleneck is only just now being eased. It's still a bottleneck faced with an extraordinarily elastic demand.

Anecdote: Right now, I'm listening to a RealPlayer live call while getting Realtime Streaming portfolio quotes (for 25 stocks), a real time streaming chart, realtime streaming NASDAQ LII quotes as well as Realtime Streaming time and sales info; while running other browser windows. I don't think I'm atypical of online investors. And I see the number of online investors growing rapidly.

Between the business and the residential drivers for bandwidth, I can say only one thing.

Build it and they will come!

And I don't think that's just a field of dreams.
