Nadine, Really, it is just a question of where the sign that says "You are here" has the arrow pointing. For the small techs, I think the sign is saying we are in a bear market and that this rally is just a technical bounce. For the overall market, I think the sign says we are still in a bull market and that the downturn is simply a correction of that trend and that the market will try to find an ultimate high from which to fall soon.

Of course, the fact is, I am more comfortable applying the bull and bear description to individual issues rather than markets. It is easier to understand that Nokia is in a bear mode while Vaso is still in a bull mode. Also, the starting point is usually from when I buy puts or calls or long stock or do a spread on an issue. Nothing else matters much to me and the Revenooers. <g>
