midnite: I heard early this morning that short term interest rates futures had penciled a high probablity of about 40 basis points already. I guess the market will supply the FUD to make 50 basis points reduction a foregone conclusion by JAN 31 st. Pretty good flight to quality/ defensive drug stocks move today. Wait until mutual fund holders get their capital gain statements later this week and over the weekend. More net selling of stocks or reallocation of cash on the sidelines to Uncle Sam which was destined for stocks through APR 15 is very likely. Zeev's prediction of some significant decline is looking more probable. Where is Rich''s cycle guy. john
