Pat,
I hope it wasn't my error, but cien is dropping like a rock along with jdsu and glw. It seems some one has decided to sell the entire optic market and I own some of all of them. Its not really much fun right now.

Pat,

Photonex from RedHerring (Jan.2 p.34 news stand copy):

" PhotonEx looks beyond fiber optics to a networking Day of Trinity."...
"...PhtonEx claims to have developed an optical subsystem that will eventually replace today's network cores. Starting at the unheard of channel clip of 40 Gbps - four times faster than competitors Corvis and Sycamore Networks - PhotonEx has also fused the once-separate optical and applications layers to create a whole new net-work core."

..."JDS Uniphases's investment arm, the Photonics Fund." [is a backer]

"These are people you don't want to trifle with..."

[Repeat: The JDS Photonics Fund.]

IMO This industry will be rapidly catapulted into the future by pragmatic visionaries who are already the leaders in an explosive technology in it's infancy, not by manipulative Wall Street Black Barts who deliberately misrepresent information in miniscule time frames for quick profit.
