PTanner,

"I would wait until Crucial offers PC2100. This may help reduce the premium considerably"

Yes, indeed, that may be a very good idea!

"but 2:1 is pretty good considering the current pricing on PC133! A 2:1 premium is considerably lower than the average I have found on Pricewatch from 01-23 which had PC2100:PC133Brand at about 3.44 for 256MB DIMMs (but that is comparing to primarily CL3 PC133 since I don't screen for CAS latency when looking at prices)."

Hm, well, my comparison was in fact between PC 2100 and high quality PC 133 CL2 SDRAM, which is considerably more expensive than ordinary PC 133 SDRAM. For me, the question is whether I should go with a VIA KT133 A board and high quality PC 133 CL2 SDRAM or with the ASUS A7M266 and PC 2100 DDR DRAM. I am yet undecided but more and more I tend towards the DDR solution.

"Was the Samsung PC2100 really CL2 or actually CL2.5? CL2 would be very nice."

It is expressly desribed as CL2. Let's hope that this statement is correct.
