That is the theory. But it seems to me that a tax cut to well off people, I consider myself well off, is not going to have an appreciable effect on the economy because it won't change my spending habits. The tax cut will barely be enough for a tv. I have a tv and if I needed a new one I'd go out and buy one regardless of a tax cut. So the tax cut is not going to make it back into the economy. I would rather they pay off OUR debt.
