I really don't know, but I do like the base we have formed, and I think we are in for some good news very soon. But heck, what do I know? It will probably sink back under $2.00(not lkely) but thats OK, I'll by more!

COVD CO closings:
Bluestar dumping customers in the South

Submitted today: I work in a telephone systems company, and many of our customers had ADSL through Bluestar, a division of Covad. Until Bluestar decided to drop all of their customers in our area (Alabama and surrounding states.)

Perhaps it's due to their claims of deadbeat customers, but I'm not so sure. Back on January 4th, they announced they would cut their workforce in half, but they didn't mention dropping an entire region of customers.
Unfortunately some of our customers learned the Bellsouth would not provide ADSL to their area, despite the fact that Bluestar was providing it.

From another user:
BlueStar announced that they will be pulling out of there CO's in the Chattanooga, TN area and service will no longer be available to its customers starting March 1, 2001, most customers are now switching to Broadslate Network SDSL for their business needs. They have sent out letters to all of their customers in this market telling them that they will need to find a new provider. This is also happening in Lexington, Ky as well. They have told customers in the Memphis, TN area that they are pulling out of all but 2 CO's in this market as well.
