He is arrogant for appealing to a specific higher power that is not believed in at all by a percentage of his "subjects" and is not the same higher power that many others of his "subjects" believe in. I don't care if he believes in an imaginary friend- I just don't want to hear about it at state ceremonies. Clearly too much to ask, but I don't like it. I don't like religion mixed with politics. Of course it's almost irresistible, when you know how "right" you are in God's eyes (whatever God- doesn't matter which one), not to want to tell the world all about it- but some politicians manage to refrain. However since we know Bush's favorite book is the Bible (on tape, I assume) I don't think we can expect much restraint on the Bible thumping for the next four years. And I don't like it at all. Religion informs a number of Bush's policies- and that REALLY annoys me, big time.
