russwinter: Can you run it up to about $10, so I can take
a double and re-enter after the market returns to its usual state of indifference about gold deposits? I like the results too but I bet we see an initial mini-run and then settling into a somewhat higher trading range over the next weeks or months.

Edit: Oh, BTW, thanks for the heads up on Iamgold.

<this one will go for at $60-$70 an ounce>

With operating cost that could be well below US$50 and recoveries near the 90% level, I think MArlin would be worth more than $70/ounce.

I just hope that seniors will give some time to FGX so it can expand these resources, as they are moving into higher gear.

Russ,

Here is my calculation based on the recent news release: 450 by 200 meters on surface, assume the thickness is 40 meters (the December news release had narrower intercepts). That is about 8 million tons. The average drill core is about 5 grams per ton, or about 0.15 oz/ton. That makes about 1 million ounces now.

But the drill cores have had poor recovery, and the trenching indicates that the cores may be underpredicting the grade by 50% or more.

Also, the geophysics has now been proven, and the geophysics indicates extensions of 300 and 150 meters or so.

So it seems reasonable that this one deposit will give us 2 million ounces of stunningly cheap ore: oxide, near surface, high grade.

Throw in the excellent showings from the other Guatemala properties, and we could be looking at some big numbers in a year, if Randy will put his C$30 million treasury to work.
