Don, I caught some stats last week:
- There are approx. 50K semi-professional retail-on-line traders, they trade from 25 to 45 times daily. (a 55% increase from the previous year)
- The second group of on-line retailers trade between 15 to 40 trades a year. (a 37% decrease from the previous group)
- The third group trades less than 15 trades a year, no change from the previous year.

Supposedly, the first group accounts for about 80% of the daily NAS trading volume.

p.s. let's see...50K traders @ 40 trades per day @ 400 shares per trade...= 800M shares.
