Hormel is the liar. What should be done about him? Ignore him and confirm Ashcroft.

If he lied under oath, then he should receive the appropriate sanction. However, I will say this, I saw an interview with Hormel and Hormel was not quite so definite about what he remembered about his prior contact with Ashcroft. Moreover, I am not entirely surpirsed that Ashcroft's recollection about old cases he ltigiated as AG was less than perfect. We all remember ancient history in a light most favorable to oruselves. And I did see him clarify and correct some of his testimony so I am inclined to think it is not intentional fabrication on his part. I'd like to see his responses to the written questions from Congress before I make a jusdgment.
